About RoleHue

From P10 to P90. The full salary range for every role, in every city.

What we do

We show what people actually earn, role by role and city by city. Not a single average. A range from P10 to P90, drawn from multiple sources and weighted to reflect recent data.

Why this exists

Salary data is easy to find and hard to trust. Job board listings show one number per posting and call it a "range". Survey aggregates mix methods you cannot see. Negotiation guides skip the part where you actually need a number for the role and city in front of you.

We built RoleHue to do one thing well: show the full range, not a single point. If you are negotiating, you need to know where in the distribution you sit. The median alone does not tell you that. P10 to P90 does.

How the numbers are made

RoleHue combines public salary data from official sources with anonymous submissions from real professionals:

  • Public salary data from US Department of Labor (H1B filings) and Bureau of Labor Statistics (OEWS) provide a robust baseline for every role and city.
  • Anonymous user submissions add real-time, current context. As more professionals contribute, user-submitted data becomes the primary signal for any role and city with enough contributions.

No scraping. No purchased datasets. No opaque corporate surveys.
